I’ve been thinking about that word - accountability - a lot lately. I think it’s because it relates to another important word: trust. It gets used an awful lot, and sometimes can start to lose its meaning. I think trust can be seen through the lens of accountability… in a nutshell, it’s some variation on the sentence “you can trust me because I’m giving you a way to hold me accountable”. That “giving” is where identity (and verifiability of claims about it) comes in. A longer conversation :-)
